Do women play both sides of the fence?

choyryu asked:

First, let me just say this is about women in general and not YOU in particular but do you think women take advantage of the sexual inequality. I will admit, in the past, men did have it better than women in the workforce but again we also had to provide for the family. Now a days, although some women will contend men still make more, I’m seeing more and more women in high position so the gender inequality is definitely closing. But I believe women only want to be equal when it suits them. Ask a woman to go dutch and a Majority of the time, she will never call you again. Armed services, a majority of women don’t believe women should serve in the front lines when with a gun it doesn’t really matter if you’re a man or woman. And then there’s the whole wanting to be treated like a lady thing, opening doors, being romanced which most guys know is pretty costly and Crying. So, do you think women are still being treated unfairly or just milking it?
I asked this in response to an answer I posted in another question but none of the women addressed the issue. Seriously, if American women are hypocrites and become too “manly” men will start to look else where for female companionship. I have and I can say, American females attitude wise are very different. They are better in some ways but in others, I almost disgusted. The Truth.

Cook asked:

Since women have entered the workforce, it is vary rare that a man can support a family, by himself. Considering that women in the workforce has caused an astronomic increase in the cost of living: do you think it’s still even an option for an average women to be a stay-at-home mom, if she wishes?
Sorry if some misunderstood. I was not blaming women for anything. (I assumed that it went without saying: women should be able to work, if they wish.) I was referring to the jump in average household income…

We Hire minority’s and women. What’s up with this?

In the US women have made up 50 percent of the population for a long time, there’s more women employed than men, yet once again we find women defying logic, rewriting definitions and practising what feminist tell us is equality.

Just like female violence, this will be explained as something else.

The Irreverant Chameleon asked:

Does granting special privilages to women in the workforce make us less competative than more capitalistic countries.

The whole affirmative action, gender quota system, which grants a lot of privilages to women…does this not end up making companies less competative and increase their expenses (by having to give a certain sex more privilages do we not end up increasing our expenses)

The other problem with having a lot of women in the work force in inconsistancy , a woman is allowed to take upto 4 months paid maternity leave in most countries. Now a woman could choose to have 3 kids over a 4 year period, thats a total of 12 months (1 year) of leave, but at the end of it she will still demand the same pay as a male colleague in a similar postion. (the company records will reflect that she has been am employee of the company for 4 years, she won’t take into consideration that the man has actually been consistently working for 4 years).

patois, i bet your article was written by a feminist with no interest in the actual truth.
Tell me Patois, what percentage of Fortune 500 companies were actually founded\started by women?
patois, please also explain how women cost less to train and educate…seems like more mindless feminist illogic.
i want to rephrase the question to….
“Does granting special privilages to women in the workforce make us less competative than more capitalist and open\free market type countries.”

    About women in the workforce?

    FaithWalker,SOC asked:

Am i the only woman out there that feels used in my marriage? This is my second marriage and we have been together 6 years, my husband has been a musician for most of his life. When we first got together i worked a lot and brought in a lot of money, then i became sick 2 years ago and can’t work as much now. I have a form of kidney disease that makes me feel run down and sick 99% of the time. So i can’t physically do what i could then, his mom always cuts me down if i’m not working full time and asks him if he is going to be able to “do it all”. He is 57 years old and works as a security guard. I have tried to move into a position that’s easier for me(i’m a nurse), but he says i have to work in nursing cause that pays better. So i’m feeling a bit resentful and wonder if i’m being unfair. Who came up with the idea that women should HAVE to work anyway? I always thought it was the mans responsibility to work and take care of the family! What do you think?
Ok let me say i have no problem with working just that it should not be my sole responsibilty to make the most money. And yes i have to admit i did think it was cool to hook up with a musician but thats not why i married him, i married him cause i love who he is not what he does.
    Thanks for your answers though.

    Laptop Motherboard Repair

    Seth Miller asked:

A laptop is a simple and compact computer. Yet, its compactness is the reason for its intricacies and complications. For instance, while most normal PCs have a mother board that has different ports for different other components of the computer to be attached, a laptop on the other hand, has a mother board that has a lot of things that are built into it, instead of sections where other parts can be attached. An example here can be given of a sound card, which often comes as a separate part for older PCs and has to be attached to the motherboard of a computer. However, the sound and video display card is integrated with the mother board in case of the laptop.

It is for these reasons that the motherboard is perhaps the most important part of a laptop after the processor. It is also not easy to repair a laptop motherboard because of its immense intricacies. While repairing a motherboard one has to be extremely careful and cautious.

Whenever a problem is arises with a motherboard, one should not take the risk of repairing it themselves since if it is not done properly it can lead to irreparable damage to the entire laptop. It is usually safe to approach a dealer of a laptop for the repair of its motherboard. They have technicians who have an expertise in dealing with laptop motherboard problems and can make the right diagnosis and carry out repairs.

There are many self employed people who repair laptops and are often a much cheaper option. One can approach them to repair their motherboard, but a few things should be kept in mind. The most important is to know their experience in repairing laptop motherboards. Let them not convince and fool you by saying that they have repaired many PC motherboards since laptops and PCs are a different thing all together.

Secondly one needs to ask them whether they have previously repaired laptops of the make that you have. If they have done so, they would be aware of the intricacies of the work and can be a safe bet for laptop motherboard repairs.

Laptop motherboard repair needs expertise and experience and it is best left to the experts.

    Sandy Naidu asked:

There are many different types of work at home jobs. Not every job opportunity is legitimate. Thorough research has to be done before you pick the right opportunity. Caution needs to be exercised. A lot of people fall victims to scam opportunities. In the process they lose a lot of their money. Here are my tips on how you can separate the good opportunities from the bad ones:

    1. Do you have to pay? If you have to pay to sign up for a work at home job offer then it’s something you have to stay away from.

    2. Do your research: ‘Google’ the company and scan through the results you get. If anyone has been burnt by the company then they probably shared their story on the internet. Also try to search for the company name and the word ‘scam’ together. However please bear in mind that if you don’t come across any bad things written about this company it does not necessarily mean it’s a good opportunity.

    3. Speak to others: If you know someone who has also signed up with this company, try to speak to them and get their thoughts and experiences about the company.

    4. Street Address: If a company has no street address but only P.O box address then you have to be cautious. Why is it hiding its street address? Beware.

    5. If something sounds too good to be true then it probably is. No one can get rich without putting in the hard yards. Don’t be tempted by offers that promise the world to you.

Always use your common sense. If you have any doubts then stay away from the opportunity. Its better to be cautious than to be burnt and lose money.

    Mother-in-Law Apartments Or Granny Flats

    Pauline Go asked:

About 35 million senior citizens are residing in the U.S. whose average life expectancy is 77.9 years. This is going to increase further in the coming years due to the availability of better living conditions and improved health facilities. Providing accommodation to these senior citizens is one of the challenging aspects encountered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. A mother-in-law apartment or house is a unique concept that has evolved as a probable solution to this kind of problem.

A mother-in-law apartment or a home can be aptly described as an accessory dwelling unit or a secondary suite that is associated with the primary residence. These sorts of dwelling units are primarily constructed with a separate entrance, kitchen, bathroom and a living area. The primary objective of constructing such a dwelling unit is to provide accommodation to an elderly relative who is unable to lead life on their own. Apart from being in close proximity to the near and dear ones, this concept also ensures maximum privacy and freedom to the senior citizens.

Several municipalities do not permit construction of a secondary suite since they are not originally included in the building plan and violate the district zoning regulations. However, there are certain municipalities that permit the construction of a mother-in-law apartment on the clause that these units should not be given on rent and must be occupied by an elderly relative.

Mother-in-law apartments or granny flats offer quite a number of advantages. An elderly person can take up the responsibility of a nanny, overseeing the general well being and security of the growing kids. They can also take a major role in house-hold management and important household responsibilities like receiving courier, or attending phone calls. Apart from these, mother-in-law apartments can also be used as a potential source of earning retirement income. The homeowner can himself move into the granny flat and rent out the main house. With the growing inflation, mother-in-law apartments also provide a money saving and economical alternative to independent living or assisted living facilities, both of which are quite expensive.
